Recovery of Gold from Ore with Potassium Ferrocyanide Solution under UV Light

In this study, potassium ferrocyanide, a nontoxic cyanide precursor in dark and diffuse reflection environment, was applied as reagent for the leaching of gold. The free ions could gradually release from ferrocyanide solution under ultraviolet light. Orthogonal experiments were performed gold ore to analyze effect pH, dosage, temperature system UV Response surface methodology (RSM) explore role leaching; optimized results showed that recovery reached 67.74% high-alkaline environment at 12.6 3.8 kg/t 62 °C, irradiance 10 mW·cm−2. kinetics monitored by quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM-D) solution. indicate extraction process be divided into two stages: adsorption leaching, rigid layer formed on reaction surface.
